🦋 Personality

Option 1: Answer the following questions. Elaborate on the answer, especially your characters thoughts and feelings surrounding the answer. For Canon Characters, you can choose four questions. For Original Characters, you will need to choose six questions. Keep the word count to 150-400 per question.
  1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

  2. Bobby doesn’t believe in magic in the sense of wizards, witches, or Fairies as he thinks those things belong in fairy tales. However, he does have a relationship with God and believes in miracles on some level. So while he might not call it magic he does believe in the spiritual and metaphysical.

He is a practicing Roman Catholic and has been for most of his life. He has very traditional views on God, meaning all things come from God, and a belief in God is necessary for salvation at the end of life. He believes that prayer helps in many situations and can be seen doing so whenever his family or friends are facing dire circumstances.

His relationship with God extends to his recovery from alcoholism. A number of the steps involve surrendering his life and will to God. God has plan for his life even if he can’t see it right now. It’s the first step to letting go of the baggage that comes with an addiction and one Bobby takes very seriously. Church and confession are his main coping mechanisms.

Bobby’s a fire captain so he’s in a position to see people survive things like a meteor that went completely through their body, his firefighters surviving lightning strikes or rebar straight into their head. He almost can’t deny, even if he wanted to, that something is controlling their fate.

Even though his belief in God is strong, he's also a little superstitious. Once on a shift, one of the new firefighters said that the shift should be quiet. Bobby was surprised that someone said it, considering the last time it was said the firehouse had one of the busiest shifts on record. When it happened the second time he was a full believer in the Q-Word curse.

  3. If your character could ask for one wish, and it's going to be magically granted without any consequence, what will it be and why?

  4. Bobby’s wish would be to have his kids, Robert Jr. and Brooke, back. They both died in a fire that Bobby was responsible for in 2014. At the time he was at the height of his addiction and trying to hide it from his family. The space heater he used in the apartment his wife called his drug den, sparked the fire and the apartment building not being up to code ensured that more people died than needed to.

He wants his kids to see the kind of man he is now and know the good he’s done to try to atone for starting the fire and letting 148 people die including them and their mother. Bobby would want to know if they forgive him for what he’s done and proud of what he’s done at the 118.

But even more than that he wants the chance to see his children grow up and see the kind of people they become, especially with the influence of his second wife, Athena, her children, and his found family at the 118.

  5. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.

  6. The one person Bobby would follow to another realm is his wife, Athena Grant-Nash. Athena and Bobby met on a call soon after he became the captain of the 118. His friendship, eventual romantic relationship, and marriage to Athena changed Bobby’s entire perspective on his life after the death of his family in the fire in Minnesota. When she accepted his invitation for their first date he started living again.

Athena is also the type of person who has a good reason to do anything. Bobby admires her for that, especially because it is usually to help someone else or to protect her family. Bobby’s often supported Athena during investigations she’s run on and off book.

Because she means so much to him and he puts a lot of weight on what she thinks, if Athena said they were going to another realm he’d go with her with her, because he wouldn’t want her to face whatever it is alone. He would choose her, always.

  7. What is your character's most outstanding personality trait, and why?

  8. “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” That’s Bobby’s most outstanding personality trait, he’s a helper. It’s a theme that’s been a part of his life for the entirety of it. When he was young and lived with his father in their house, he tried to help him by covering for missing work due to his alcoholism. He also tried to keep their home running as normally as possible after his mother left.

His need to help continued when he grew up Bobby became the fourth generation of Nashs to become a firefighter. Even through his addiction, firefighting was the one constant in his life. His entire professional career revolves around helping and saving people on what could be the worst day of their lives.

He’s always there for the firefighters in his house whether they’re going through a professional or personal crisis. Bobby’s always there with a word of advice, a listening ear, or even just a comforting meal. Helping others isn't just something he does, it's who he is.

🦋 Fae Court

List your top three choices for your characters adoptive court. The mods will choose the one out of those three options that seems the most fitting based on your app.
  • Autumn

  • Winter

  • Summer

Ability: Do you want your character to gain the ability of their court? (Delete the other two options.)
1) No, they will retain their canon abilities.

🦋 RP Samples

Please link your RP samples from the TDM or previous play here. Sample threads can't be older than a year and must be from an open community. RP samples do not need to meet a required length, they instead convey the idea of your character's personality and how they speak, think, and interact with the world around them. A single link will suffice, unless your sample is from a texting-only thread. In that case, we'll need an additional sample detailing the character's thought processes and physical gestures.
